Today Nieuwsblad.be released a mobile version of their website. What’s really cool about it is the live sport, regional news and events calendar. The live sport gives you sport news while it happens, pretty nice when you are at a soccer game and want to know what happens at another one. The events calendar is another nice feature that gives you all local events based on some search criteria. If you’re at a pub and don’t know what to do next, this feature will tell you in sec the events nearby.

Adnerds podcast is since this weekend on iTunes and they are already nr1 within the ‘Business’ category. They are listed between famous names like Insead, Harvard Business Publishing, BusinessWeek, McKinsey on Finance… I have been listening a lot to marketing podcasts in the past, maybe time to start again now we have a successful Belgian one :-)

Just received 2 invitations for the e-mail marketing forum on the same e-mail address in 10 seconds. Hope the spam doesn’t take the proportions of Digital Marketing First Congress earlier this month where I received over 20 e-mails and several direct mailers on top. Even when you subscribe, the spam doesn’t stop …

Don’t know who organizes this, but maybe they should attend some workshops first themselves on database management, (e-mail) address de-duplication and the advantage of cost saving on direct mailers through e-mail marketing.

Old news maybe but I am surprised to see more and more people on Facebook. Even old school mates start to connect which I didn’t hear the past 9 years. It seems that the dutch version had his effect! More than 1 million belgian users, compared to 200.000 last year…’not bad Mark’ I would say :-) Netlog finally has a competitor in belgium now which stays nr1 with more then 2 million active users. The nr2, Myspace is feeling the breath of Facebook. I created our nieuwsblad.be product page a few days ago and our Sportwereld page on Netlog is there since a while now.
