Our Belgian defense minister Pieter De Crem was in NY a few weeks ago on a business trip. He went to a bar one night and got drunk. Apparently when he’s drunk, he gets rude. A Belgian female bartender in the bar was so embarrassed being Belgian she blogged about it. Huge scandal in Belgium of course and last week he had to answer some questions about his trip in the parliament. Besides the fact that he got the bartender fired, he called bloggers “dangerous”. Welcome to the web 2.0 era mr De Crem!
As he’s responsible for defense, let this be a warning for all you bloggers when you visit Belgium. You might be blacklisted as member of an evil terrorist organization :)

Nokia campaign playing with the idea that half of people’s private life is on their cell phone these days. The whole 2.0 spectrum is used at its full capacity again: 2 youtube video’s, all characters of the campaign have a Facebook page en a flashy site where you can subscribe to be notified when the cell phone unlocks.
Only question now: is it a new Nokia model, or just a buzz campaign?
P.S.: The other half of people’s private life is on Facebook by the way :)

What I have noticed is that Mobile is in the list again, I have seen that a few times in there before but it never lifted off like it should (to me). Let’s see what it brings this year…

Belgian media group Corelio launched their Beta newsportal 24.be this week based on Netvibes. I like the lookNfeel it breathes, but is there room for another RSS aggregator next to the Netvibes and Google Readers of this world?
